Howe Sound Membership and Annual General Meeting

Members attend the Annual General Meeting every year at which time they have a chance to review the organization's finances, vote for board members, hear and pass any resolutions affecting the bylaws. All members are also entitled to run for a seat on the board and are encouraged to volunteer for any committees that are of interest. All members will receive a copy of the Howe Sounder (issued quarterly) and will have access to a "special members only" section coming soon to this website.

There are five classifications of membership:

Individual Membership - Open to people outside the organization who are not an employee or staff member of the Society. The member must be 19 yrs of age or older and has paid the designated fee.

Corporation Membership - Open to any business providing there is no conflict due to the nature of that business with that of the Society's and has paid the designated fee.

Associate Membership - Open to any business related to that of the Society's and has paid the designated fee.

Family Membership - Open to entire families who then share a single membership and have paid the designated fee.

Honorary Membership - The Board of Directors may appoint honorary members at their discretion.

Individual members, Corporate members and Family members shall have one vote at all General Meetings. Honorary members and Associate members have no vote.
