Employment Program for Persons with Disabilities (EPPD)
(EPPD) assists individuals with disabilities who want to volunteer or work full-time, part-time, or become self-employed. You are eligible if you do not have another funding source such as ICBC, Worksafe BC, or long-term disability benefits through your employer.
EPPD services include pre-employment skills, assessment and career planning, funding for education or training on the job, and job search. The EPPD also supports individuals to set up and run their own business. An EPPD may obtain neuropsychological testing or job coaching for an individual with a brain injury.
For people who are already working or in training, the EPPD can provide disability supports such as job accommodations, workplace modifications, vehicle modifications, attendant services, and assistive technology (e.g. computer access, communication systems).
