Howe Sound is looking for people who are dedicated, caring, motivated, self-directed, flexible, independent, possess excellent communication skills, have an awareness of human rights, can follow directions and who would meet the following requirements:
- Behaviour management training
- Successful completion of CPR training within the last year
- Completion of an emergency first aid course within the last year
- High School Diploma
- Preference will be given to those possessing a Community Health/Support Worker Certificate, Acquired Brain Injury training or other comparable training at the college level
- Preference will be given to those possessing a University Degree in Psychology or other related degrees
Applicants who are granted an interview and are successful shall provide the following documentation prior to beginning employment:
- A negative TB test result
- A favourable criminal record check
- A current "level C" emergency first aid and CPR certificate (to be renewed annually)
- Class 5 drivers license
- Drivers abstract
- A voided cheque for payroll direct deposit
- A doctors note stating that the individual is "mentally and physically fit to work with mentally and/or physically challenged"
