Re: Closure of the North Vancouver Headway Centre

As you know, Howe Sound Rehabilitation Services Society has been committed to providing quality programs and services to people of all abilities for over 20 years. It is therefore with great regret that we must inform you of the closure of the North Vancouver Headway Centre.
It has been over a year since this pilot program has been available to those on the North Shore. Unfortunately due to continual low attendance and membership it was decided that we cannot at this time operate North Vancouver Headway Centre. Our last day for the North Van location will be December 16, 2010 at which time members may discuss options with Headway staff.
We hope that you will instead visit us at our Vancouver location close to Granville and Broadway. This centre operates 5 days a week and offers some of the following:
- Scheduled activities (arts and crafts, walking club, movies, etc.)
- A chance to learn life skills (computer classes, cooking classes, etc.)
- Outings into the community (eg. IMAX, community centres, PNE, etc.)
- Parties ( Holiday Casino Night, Halloween Party, Chinese New Year’s)
